A live-action reboot of the 1955 Disney classic, Lady and the Tramp being released on November 12 features a cast of shelter and rescue dogs!
Disney’s latest live-action reboot of Lady and the Tramp re-tells the story of a pampered house dog and a tough but lovable stray as they embark on an unexpected adventure and come to understand the value of home.
The film, set to begin streaming on Disney+ beginning November 12, features a full cast of rescued and shelter dogs (and cats). But, don’t count on adopting a movie star—they were all adopted by the time filming had ended.
In the film, the beloved spunky stray, Tramp, is played by Monte. Monte was rescued from a kill-shelter in New Mexico when he was picked for the leading role. He was eventually adopted by one of the film’s dog trainers. In the movie, Justin Theroux provides Monte’s voice. A Cocker Spaniel named Rose plays ‘Lady’.
You’ll need the Disney+ streaming app to see the Lady and the Tramp reboot. Visit www.disneyplus.com for more information.
