“What The Raw?” voluntarily recalls 184 containers of their Single Dried Sardines products on July 14, 2023 due to possible Clostridium Botulinum contamination.
At the time of writing, no official statement has been made by either the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and “What The Raw?”. The voluntary recall was revealed through an Enforcement Report.
According to the report, the uneviscerated whole dried sardines are potentially contaminated with Clostridium Botulinum, a bacteria that causes a rare condition called Botulism.
