While the superstar chef, country home cookin’ mogul, and restaurateur may have made a few mistakes in her life (who hasn’t?), this scrumptious peanut butter dog biscuit recipe is definitely not one of them!
Easy to make, with ingredients you probably already have at home, your dog will love ’em!
Paula Deen’s “Bodeen’s Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits, from PaulaDeen.com:
Servings: varies
Prep Time: 15 min
Cook Time: 40 min
Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients
3/4 cup nonfat Milk
1 Egg
1 cup Peanut Butter, smooth
2 1/4 to 2 1/2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
1 tablespoon Baking PowderDirections
PreHeat – 325°
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, egg and peanut butter. Add in the flour and baking powder to make a very stiff dough, using your hands to work in the last of the flour if necessary. (Paula’s note: as a general rule, most homemade dog biscuits do well with 1 part liquid to 3 parts dry. You can customize the recipe by adding and subtracting ingredients your dog likes.)
Flour a work surface and roll out dough to a 1/4” thickness. Cut into desired sizes depending on the size of your dog. Bake on a parchment lined baking tray for approximately 20 minutes. Turn biscuits over and bake for an additional 15 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container. Bodeen’s Dog Biscuits can also be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.

says:Hi all, well I dont know who Paula Deen is and dont know what she said, I came here looking for a dog biscuit recipes and to find any reviews, since I cant see any reviews of the actual product, this is mine. THey are yum – I like them, most dogs will like them, but my dog does not. Thats not to say there is anything wrong with the biscuits as she does not like lots of things. I have fed them to other dogs and they are quickly demolished. So go for it, give the recipe a try.
Jessica
says:Oh lordy! My first thought was all her butter and my doggy having a heart attack.. lol!! Great recipe thank u for sharing. I live in europe now, I took my dog with me from the US. I am not fond of their treats here so I will be making these this weekend. Thank you so much!!!

says:Baking powder is dangerous for dogs.
Whole wheat flour is a common allergy trigger for dogs.
Dogs are born lactose intolerant, so milk is not a good ingredient either.
I would not make these for my dogs since most of the ingredients are not healthy for dogs.
RsmZ – yes coconut flour, oatmeal, white bean, almond flours can be substituted for wheat flour.
Kathie
says:You can add corn meal too. I make a biscuit similar with chicken or beef broth, and I use both corn meal and whole wheat flour. I am going to try this one though.
RsmZ
says:Well … I just want to know if coconut flour can be used as a substitute for the whole wheat …???…

Anyway isn’t this a page for our dogs? Don’t our dogs live for the moment or they kick dirt over their shit and move on! Maybe you could ALL learn a lesson!
My biggest problem is I was told not to give milk to my Dogs, or is that just for staffies?? That is if anyone is still interested about THE DOGS???

Umm…Isn’t this a recipe? It isn’t a forum for your opinions! If you don’t like her get off the page!! I clicked on it for the recipe. Why are you here?
Sue
says:Since many, of not most dogs are lactose intolerant why would you create a dog treat recipe using milk?
Maryann

says:Ms Deen clearly had made a racial comment under duress and admitted it while under oath in a court of law. One can only hope as the years have gone by that her views on other races have changed and she accepts people on a one on one basis. I can’t hate her, but I can’t support her either.

says:Thank you for the recipe Paula, had this years ago and lost it somewhere during a move. Know someone in household who will certainly enjoy the done product, love these for gifts for friends with four-legged companions. I use to add a bit of wheat germ, and if you want to make meaty ones used the meat Gerbers had for babies. Been so long not sure they still make it. Will share for sure,
God bless you and your family. 🙂

says:Soooo to change the subject back to dog biccys, has anybody made these peanut butter dog biccys and did your dog like them??
Jan

Ummmm, so should I feed this to my brown dog but not the black one? 😉
Paula’s not a killer! Mistakes are made by everyone. And whose to say that those writing negative thngs about her aren’t guilty of something they did b4 in their own life. Leave her alone and yur nasty comments to yurself.I’m sure whoever posts them have many skeletons in ther own closets. Are u perfect? I thnk not! Go read your Bible.God forgives all!

Dodgingon Post–keep up the great work! Paula–good recipe!
Barry Blust
says:So I says to Buster (Jack Russell), ‘Whatcha think of all this Paula Dean stuff?’
And know what he says? Well nothing for a long while as he gave me that deep stare that must come from another planet… and then his little tail began to wiggling and he says, ‘Dad… Dad… let’s go for a walk down by the woods!’ And that’s all Buster had to say about that.

says:my father had a dear friend in Alabama who we would visit – he was a southern gentleman- he had a black maid whom he respected and even left money for her in his will– we would go to town and everyone-blacks and whites would say good morning-MR-so and so– and he would say oh that is a nice niggar man etc or nice niggar lady in his deep southern drawl– and he meant no respect that is just the culture and environment the south was– that was 30 some yrs ago and it was different then — so until u can understand where paula dean came from and the lifestyle u cant really judge– what i seen on utube and the net – she didnt mean any disrespect–
Misha
says:This is a recipe. For a dog. Leave Paula and civil rights out of it and either make the peanut butter bones or not. Again, IT’S A RECIPE! You’re not paying Paula to use it, you’re not increasing her wealth by making these for your dogs and you’re not supporting hate through a batch of dog biscuits.
All your dog will know is that you love him/her and you made them COOKIES!!! Love, people. Love. Can’t we all just get along????

says:There are good and bad people in every race although I am a little tired of being blamed for things that were done to people at a time and place I wasn’t even at. I think everyone should clean out their own closets before trying to clean someone elses.
Wow. It’s disgusting to see what I assume are TONS of adults just going to town on each other.
You are all a bunch of immature morons.
Bleeding heart liberal? Get a life? How old are you?
I mean what the F is wrong with ALL of you?
I think all of you need to get a life.
You are arguing over some fucking dog cookies and you all sound like complete idiots.
WOW. Why not go spend some quality time with your dog….this conversation is NOT changing the world.
In the meantime there are FAR more important things to spend emotions on.

says:Who, pray tell, gives anyone the right to judge anyone else. I don’t have that right, it’s not my place. I will say this though, there are good and
My goodness, those were quite a read! I agree that people should take their opinions about Paula to the correct websites. And I also agree that because it told who the recipe was from, the people against her really had no right going to it. I like the idea of the recipe, I have the dog bone cookie cutter and my dog loves peanut butter. I will heed the warning about the wheat flour and use some other flour, if I ever make the biscuits. I’m great at collecting recipes but don’t try very many of them. The only thing I am going to say about the controversy with Paula Deen is like everyone else, I say she should not be crucified for what she said, even if it was only a few years ago. There are a whole lot of worse things going on in this country that should be concentrated on and corrected such as porn, programs that use offensive language just because they are on a cable network, reality programs such as ‘Here Comes Honey BooBoo’, ‘Bridezillas’, etc. and working to make this country the great place it once was. There’s been too much shoved under the rug because we have the First Amendment that people tend to hide behind. Our fore fathers must be turning in their graves to see what they created is being misused by millions of people at their convenience. So let’s leave this website for the dogs and their owners, and leave the politics where they belong.
This is about a recipe. Paula Deen is a fantastic cook, source of great recipes and I appreciate the opportunity to acquire a simple, great recipe for dog biscuits. The last perfect person to walk on earth was crucified – so ye who are without blame – cast the first stone.

I’m so sorry this is even a source of controversy, as I know my Heavenly Father must be crying seeing all of his children enduring so much turmoil due to one another. May the grace be to God.

says:At least Paula admitted to saying it and that it was “wrong”. I think
people should be noticing her HONESTY now rather than her choice of words so many years ago. To me the entire thing was blown out of proportion.
It reminded me of a witch hunt.

says:OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! How did this end up the Paula Dean page? When I clicked the link, it was simply because I wanted the recipe for treats, for my fur baby. If you don’t support Ms. Dean, why did you click the link? It blatantly says it’s her recipe….. why don’t you save your racism rants, for a page dedicated to that, and leave the poor ANIMAL pages alone…. I seriously doubt, that ANY, of the animals out there, give a crap, about what Ms. Dean said, or for that matter, what you all have to say….. I love this page! Keep the doggy news a flowing…..

Really people, can we just move on? Take you political agendas elsewhere please!
Gail
says:My problem with this recipe isn’t Ms. Deen (and if that is your problem I suggest you get ALL the facts before continuing to crucify her), it’s the ingredients. Please, PLEASE don’t feed your dogs wheat! It is not readily digestible, has no nutritional value and is the #1 cause of canine allergies. Whole wheat is not better.
Try oat or whole brown rice flour instead. I also have recipes using rye flour. When making or buying food for your pet, remember: NO wheat, NO corn, NO soy.
AMEN…NO WHEAT< CORN< OR SOY!
Donna
says:Gail. Thank You so much for this info, I spent 10 min scrolling thru the Paula Bashing looking for this 🙂
Diann

Gail
says:Please see my comment below on feeding wheat to dogs.
Patti
says:Yes, you have to use whole wheat flour! I made the mistake of using regular flour and they turned out soft and not real crunchy like dog treats are supposed to be.
Tammy Thompson
says:Thanks for the recipe, Paula. BTW, I have stopped supporting any business that threw you under the bus. I have only watched your show a couple of times, not really into it, but that is not the point. I just think this whole thing is just really wrong. This is America. The PC crap is getting out of hand and you are where I finally drew the line. They are out of control. I don’t care if you yelled it from on top the tallest building, yesterday. You have a right to say whatever you want. There are a lot worse words out there that are used every day by millions and no one says a thing. I’m on your side

says:I have children (in their 30s) that are of mixed race. What Ms. Deen said was decades ago…………get over it!! She a great cook. I came to this site because it had a recipe from Ms. Deen that was for dogs. I love my dog & wanted to give her the best. I don’t have a problem with Ms. Deen. Everyone makes mistakes. We have all made mistakes, and not one of us has said things we would like to take back.Boycott the page, it’s your loss.Self righteous baloney.God teaches us too forgive,i hope your dog never poops on the floor, you might punish him/her till the day they die.I am going to make these treats for my 3 girls. Thanks Paula, your the best!
cindo
says:I am a couple years younger then Paula Deen. For all you young adults the nword was used back then. We no longer address people that way. So go ahead and boycott. You have no idea what went on 30 or more years ago. So if you can’t understand what went on even 50 years back then you better study your history. It was a bad time back then. Also the south has come along way from discrimination. Everyone should boycott movies that use the nword when making racial movies.
katrina
says:These dog biscuits sound awesome going to try an make them tomorrow for my very picky 4 legged eaters. Wish i had a dog biscuit cookie cutter.. As for what Paula Dean did, shes human it happens it shouldn’t be something that follows her around forever geezs.
Dorenda
says:Katrina, I found some very small cookie cutters that I use for homemade doggie treats. I have small dogs so these work really well. They don’t know the treats are not in the shape of a bone!!! I think I got mine at WalMart.
Janice
says:Can’t wait to bake these treats and let my crew enjoy another homemade treat. Thanks for the recipe. I agree with those who replied to Tisha. I lived in Texas as a child back then and because we were from New York (my dad was an architect and we traveled a lot with his jobs) and reverse discrimination was not fun. Things have really changed over the past 30 years and that should be considered water under the bridge but thanks to social media these days everyone seems to be ready to crucify someone without learning the facts first and then create such a commotion. I have always supported and will continue to support Paula Dean and her family. Unless you lived in the south during those years you should stop and think about how hurtful your words are to someone then just cast the first stone BUT remember you will have to appear in front of God on your Judgement day and explaining why you said what you said throughout you life then just continue on the way you are but the Bible says “Judge ye not, least ye be judged”. The ONLY one who has any right to judge anyone is God Himself. Hang in there Paula because this test of your faith will be over soon.

says:I can not support a page that would support someone such a Paula Deen. What she allowed to take place in the business’s; racism, sexual harassment, etc is not merely a ” mistake”. Just like animal abuse is not a mistake. I will be boycotting your page.
Katherine Goard
says:Geeze.. that was 30 years ago.. get over it!! Back then I’ll bet you wouldn’t find many white households that didn’t use that word.. and it’s funny to me that it’s okay for THEM to use it, but don’t dare US use it. . and I am extremely offended being called a “cracker” as well. Should I raise hell and start a march and a riot? Really just give it a rest!!!
Paula, I’m on your side darlin’. You did nothing wrong. So just don’t respond to this kind of craziness huggs my friend!
Georgia Welch
says:Tisha Steele, everyone has said things in their life; after all that was 27 yrs. get over it…. I’m sure that you even said things that you’re not proud of; I know that I have; GROW UP & GET A LIFE…. I support & believe in you Paula….
Deb
says:It wasn’t 30 years ago, nor was it 27. If you going to comment, shouldn’t you know of what you are speaking of?
Mary
says:It has always amazed me that these folks want to be treated as equals, fine that is no problem. However why do they, folks of a non-Caucasian color, always want to show the difference? Why do we have an NAACP, is this promoting equalization or making a point to help the non-Caucasian over the Caucasian? Negro College Fund? Black American Studies? Non-Caucasian upon non-Caucasian crime? Anyone see a pattern here? Just asking the question. And just what does that have to do with a dog biscuit recipe?
Steph
says:If you are going to scold someone, at least have the decency to use correct syntax.
valerie uram
says:It was NOT 30 years ago. Each time so conservative repeats how long ago it was they add a few more years to it. She is not some 80 year old who doesn’t know any better, she was around in the 60’s is well aware of the civil rights movement at that time and knows what is acceptable and what is not. I amher age and have NEVER used that word. But then again I wowuld not alow porn in the owrk place or any other of the things she allowed. Does the word cracker have slavery connection to it? Where your cracker relative in chains and treated like animals?. did you ride in the back of the bus an dnot able to drink out of a fountain or swin in a public pool? It was in 2007 she wanted slave wedding. She sat by while her brother showed porn in the kitchen of her restraunt and she said to manythings to offend women. She is dishonest with her crap cooking for 3 years until she signed a deal with a diabetes drug company to come forward. Dishonest is what she is. That non apology was just she is so very sorry anyone was offended. She is what she is? Really that is racist right there. Big corpoations have the right to fire and drop endorcements just like a little business does. It is a right folks.
Why is it us who find her offensive have to get a life while all you Paula lovers don’t?? You know what I don’t have to get over it.
donna g
says:we dont need to get a life for defending some one, you all need to get a grip, slavery was abolished, some people were slower than others to accept it, but i do find it offensive to have to hear black ppl call each other niggers, in songs on tv in the movies, they have been making white people live in fear of them for years and when we say something about it we are racist, its bleeding heart liberals like yourself that are ruining this country, its called THE FIRST AMENDMENT, look it up, and you should do your facts before you spout off at what other people do or dont support,
Frances Marshall
says:“She is who she is” is racist??? Get a life…
Jen P.
says:Just sayin’ – my white relatives, and most others who came here from where my ancestors originated were treated just like animals in this very country. Blacks are not the only ones who had a miserable beginning in this country. I really just think people need to start looking at their own “sins” and their own lives and stop with the torches and pitchforks when someone slips up. Geeze. Might as well burn down the country if we’re going to be like that.
Linda
says:What are you? A Paula expert? Remember the verse in the Bible about casting stones? I got a feeling a few could get cast your way, as with any human being. You know you could get famous any day for something and find yourself under the microscope, it’s crazy the way it is today.
You know I think I’ve said that word, and if you listen to music of today it’s every other word. So what’s the big deal?
Deb
says:BS. You just won’t admit that you’ve ever said or used it. Learn to forgive and forget. If everybody had your attitude, nobody would ever get along.
Tom M
says:Valerie, you are a liar.
Dorothy Turner
says:I could not even finish reading your post. yes my cracker relatives were slaves also. they were from Ireland. and they were cheaper than black slaves so get off of it. Its over. Give it a rest. She Paula Dean is a person like the rest of us. If she made a mistake get over that also. Yea you do have to get over it.
Toni Malik

Sharon
says:Yeah…No kidding!
How many of us ‘older’ ones, remember the poem, Eneey, Meeny, Miney Moe..Catch a _____ by his toe…
And it was NOT…Tiger!
Or the restaurant, Little Black Sambo’s…
Or to —— Rig something…like a car repair..
There was also Gerry rigging…[Germans]or to Jew someone down…[Jews]
So many, sayings…that in those days, were not thought of as racist..
I am not a racist..but I have uttered all of the above..
Different times of our lives…acceptance was different..
Now days, it’s thought of a racist…and now, I can say, we ‘Whites’ are the minority, and how many times are we called names, or people make ‘racist’ remarks about ‘Whites’…and we just have to take it…we can’t cry discrimination…Why Not???? Why Not????
Maybe we should start.

says:Well said Katherine Goard! I stand with you and with Paula Deen. Love her to pieces!!! Don’t listen to the haters. Paula, you have so many people like myself who truly admire you for the woman you are. Hold your head high and continue your love thru your shows and books. Love ya 🙂
Sally Hoffmann
says:The ALLEGATIONS of what happened in her restaurants have not been proven or dis-proven yet. I always thought in this country a person was presumed innocent.
Rhonda
says:Tisha this site is all about the dogs and if your soapbox is more important to you then be free little bird. I hope you are enjoying your glass house, now get over yourself.
Rachel
says:Hi there, this is such a touchy subject. I’ve never followed PD nor do I dislike her. I’m not particularly fond of what she’s done or said, however I feel that if she has a good dog treat recipe it should be shared. Wonder if leaving her name off of it would have been a better idea for those that are sensitive.
linda
says:@ rachel.
I dont think that leaving her name off of it is the way to go. If you dont want to try a recipe just because its got her name on it, its your loss. If people are sensitive about the subject thats their problem.
Imran
says:…Also, leaving someone’s name out of their own work is plagiarism and copyright infringement, if a copyright is applicable.
But I’m sure that regardless of how much the rest of these people care about what PD did or didn’t say, none of their dogs care, and this is a dog page. Can we just avoid polluting something good with the same banter that’s on every other site?
janet glennon
says:Exactly Rhonda, this is all about our dogs, please dont bring any other nonsense into it. I wouldnt like to be cleaning all that glass.
cesar
says:Tisha you are a freakin idiot! YOU’RE probably worse of a human being than Ms Deen is. So each to their own. No love lost here!
TINA HOWARD
says:SO YOU ARE HOW OLD? 15…….AND NEVER MADE MISTAKE…….PAULA JUST LIKE ALL OF US HAS DID THING THAT SHE WISH THAT DID DID NOT DO…I KNOW I HAVE BUT LIKE HER I HAVE LEARNED FROM THEM….I THINK YOU NEED TO BOYCOTT SOME THAT IS BEEN BAD AND STILL IS BECAUSE PAULA IS NOT..SO GET OVER IT..
Vicki
says:Tisha, you must be very insecure to be so disturbed over some thing some one said over 30 years ago. Sadly, back then that word was part of our every day vernacular, not saying it’s right, but that’s how it was. It is still part of every day vernacular in the African American idiom. Of course, a cracker should never say it. I betcha this page will never miss ya. Bye-Bye.
Ron
says:Get over OMG, act like she is so horrible when we have a president like Obama really, get a life!
Shado
says:To Ron, you say get over it, but you are still hating that Obama won. Perhaps you should take your own advice. And when Obama comes out and calls white folks, cracker and wants them all to wait on him like we are slaves, then you can refer to him. But he hasn’t done anything close to what Paula did.
I think what Paula Deen did is wrong, and we all make mistakes so let’s just forgive her and move on. Always best to live and let live. I pray she has learned from her errors.
Ron
says:Shado u need to do a little more research on Obama really i wont stoop to your level grow up.
Norma
says:Shado, what do you mean Obama hasn’t done anything wrong

My goodness,get over it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Denise
says:Live in the past much?i have known people that never let the past go..they are unhealthy and live a miserable life.
Susie Jackson
says:so you’ve lived a life of NO mistakes? I so doubt it. Sorry you have to be so damned politically correct. You need to examine your own life before you can point fingers at others…
lisa anderson
says:bye bye Tisha
lisa sheetz
says:amen lisa amen!!!!
Teri Proulx
says:None of it has been proven yet and it is nothing but allegations until proven otherwise (which in my opinion there’s nothing to prove). Are you such an angel that you have never done or said anything wrong in your life. You are a very ignorant person. Let it go and See ya!
Carol Slack
says:There are two sides to every story . Go to her site and put your two cents in , not here , not the place for it , bye .
Mary
says:Then—-see ya later tisha! How REDICULOUS can you be?
Lisa
says:I really don’t think the dogs will care. They aren’t as addicted to “drama” as their owners are.
Deb
says:I second your opinion, Lisa 🙂
JM Kalish
says:You are dumb & I am sure you are a racist
linda
says:@ Tisha Steele.
And let them with no sin cast the first stone. Can you really say that you’ve never said anything you’ve regretted or done something you’ve regretted?? Its unreal. Most or all the people that are putting her down are just putting her in the limelight so noone looks at them. For petes sake people, let it go! Boycotting a page just because they had a paula dean recipe is ridiculous. How stupid can you be??
Jaye
says:Get over yourself Tisha, now you’re showing YOUR ignorance.
Deni G
says:Really, Tish!?! You are without sin and can cast that stone?!?
Jan
says:To Tisha Steele,
You as everyone else certainly still have the freedom to like or dislike any page. I do have to wonder why you just did not delete it, unsubscribe to it, any number of options you have but chose to brag about what you are doing. Most people that come to this page do so in support of Paula or simply because they would like the recipe. It is negativity like this that then spoils it for the rest of us. That is not acceptable.
Kim
says:I believe they are supporting the dogs by giving us a good recipe to make for them. We cannot become a success without first failing at something. There are many things I have not been proud of; I’m glad that I grew from them and that my Lord forgives me.
Dog
says:Matthew 7:1-5 – Judge not, that ye be not judged.
John 8:7 “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”
Mathew 18 21-22 “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”
Some thing for Tisha to ponder on. Judging is not our job. Make life easier on yourself and those around you and just do as Jesus asked us to do. Love one another,
Im making some doggy biscuits, you have a wonderful day.
Dog
says:I didn’t read any of the comments others had written for Miss Steele, guess we’re all on the same page. Good to know.
And I read where another commenter had told Paula to hang in there, that this is a test of her faith. I agree, it will be over soon and you will be stronger, wiser and closer to God so that you may continue to do the job God had planned for you to do before you were even born.
God bless y’all. Love to Paula and her family.
And thanks for posting this great recipe Dogintonpost! It looks easy, no plastic and Im sure my dog will love it! <3

Cynthia
says:Oh grow up Tisha You have never ever said anything racist or listened to music that uses the n word? The poor woman has suffered enough and deserves to be forgiven.
Linda
says:Get over it lady that was 29 years ago. U are welcome to boycott anyone you like, so go away!!!
Debbie
says:I hope to hell you hate the and dont support the NFL since those bullying accusations…one guy called another guy the “n” word all the time but that was bonding with each other and with the team….and that was ALL THE TIME…not just once back 30+ years ago having grown up in the 1940-1950’s south where the N word was common. asshole!
Lynne
says:That was a long time ago. People need to get over such things, they act like they never said or done anything wrong. Self righteous pricks.
dianne
says:Wow why even comment if you feel that way. Just stay off page.
ThePhoenix612
says:Tisha, the lawsuit was THROWN OUT because the judge looked at the evidence and found that it was without merit. I’m sure the page will not miss you
jill
says:I think you need to get past your anger. She wasn’t convicted of anything. I’m sure you’ve used some kind of slur against someone in the past. Move on. Remember that she was raised in the South and at a very different time. But, mostly, she wasn’t convicted of anything.
fred
says:Tisha, you dumb libtard! Those comments were before you were born! With a name like Tisha, your parent’s marked you as a victim to the whitey.. American Indians are PROUD and would never stoop to your kind of BIGOTRY!!! YOU are the racist!!!
Deb
says:tisha steele, Paula Deen made a comment YEARS ago. You need to let that go and consider in your own life, can you honestly say you NEVER ever called a name or made a racist comment about anyone ? Of course you have and you’d be a liar if you said you didn’t. Stop condemning her for something that happened 30 years ago and grow up will ya ?
jk
says:nigger nigger
Steph
says:So why are you even commenting?
cher
says:Was this post supposed to be about DOG BISCUITS??? Why does everyone always have to argue about everything??? Everyone has their own opinion, let them have it. If you don’t like her, don’t go to her page…If you do like her, here’s a good recipe!
sallyann wills
says:tisha you are very ignorant of the situation AND VERY JUDGMENTAL THE LAWSUIT WAS DROPPED MAYBE YOU HAD BETTER PAY MORE ATTENTION TO DETAILS BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH AND INSERT YOU FOOT.
A document filed in U.S. District Court in Savannah said both sides agreed to drop the lawsuit “without any award of costs or fees to any party.” No other details of the agreement were released. The judge in the case had not signed an order to finalize the dismissal.
Former employee Lisa Jackson last year sued Deen and her brother, Bubba Hiers, saying she suffered from sexual harassment and racially offensive talk and employment practices that were unfair to black workers during her five years as a manager of Uncle Bubba’s Seafood and Oyster House. Deen is co-owner of the restaurant, which is primarily run by her brother.
The dismissal deal came less than two weeks after Judge William T. Moore throw out the race discrimination claims, ruling Jackson, who is white, had no standing to sue over what she said was poor treatment of black workers. He let Jackson’s claims of sexual harassment stand, but the deal drops that also.
The lawsuit would be dismissed “with prejudice,” which means it can’t be brought again with the same claims.
Cathy Martin
says:Thanks, sallyann! I always wondered what it was all about originally; how the topic of Paula’s language ever came up, etc. It’s funny (peculiar!) that someone would sue for discrimination when they’re not even of the race that was theoretically “subjected” to it!
Christa
says:Ahhhhh, look at you, lil miss perfect. If you don’t support the page, why would you comment? Oh yah, to make yourself feel better about yourself. Give it up, I love Paula Deen… she’s only human you know. I am sure there are plenty of things you could put yourself useful to but apparently you are just only wanting to be part of the high and mighty club.
Paulafan
says:seriously give me well her a break! she said the N word 30 years ago! who cares and if you think others on tv that you do watch hasn’t said it you are very foolish!!! When she was humiliated for admitting she had said that word in the past but no longer does you should have been more appalled by the way she was treated with HATE which is far worse then saying the N word 30 years ago!! get a grip on reality already!
Kathie
says:So why are you here? Your clicking on this site supports it. I am so happy to know that you have not spoken out of line in thirty years. I would hope that someday I could be as perfect as you.
